DETROIT CASINO REVENUES AND WAGERING TAXES FOR APRIL 2013
Casino Operations - Month of April 2013
Aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos for the month ended April 30, 2013, was down 2.7% when compared to the same month last year. Revenue was also down 10.9% when compared to March 2013.
Revenue for MGM and Greektown was down 6.0% to $49 million and 1.8% to $31.3 million, respectively, whereas MotorCity was up 1.0% to $39.7 million, when compared to April 2012.
The market shares for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown for April 2013 were 41%, 33%, and 26%, respectively.
For the month ended April 30, 2013, gaming taxes for the three Detroit casinos were $9.7 million compared to $10 million for the same month last year.
