Detroit Casino Revenues and Wagering Taxes for November 2013
Casino Operations – Month of November 2013
Aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos for the month ending November 30, 2013, was down 0.9% when compared to the same month last year. Revenue was up 5.2% when compared to October 2013. For year-to-date November 30, 2013, aggregate revenue for the three Detroit casinos was down 4.3% compared to the same period last year.
Revenue for MotorCity was up 2.8% to $39.5 million, whereas MGM and Greektown were down 2.9% to $46.4 million, and 2.6% to $25.9 million, respectively, when compared to November 2012.
The market shares for MGM, MotorCity, and Greektown for November 2013 were 42%, 35%, and 23%, respectively.
For the month ending November 30, 2013, gaming taxes for the three Detroit casinos were $9.1 million compared to $9.14 million for November 2012.
