March 17, 2017
Lansing, Mich., March 17, 2017 - Gov. Rick Snyder today announced the appointment of Dale Zahn of Holland to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
The five-member board oversees licensing and regulations for commercial casinos in Detroit. No more than three members can be from the same political party.
"I thank Dale for his service and I believe his background in real estate will be an asset to this board,” Snyder said.
Zahn is the chief executive officer of the West Michigan Lakeshore Association of Realtors. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the National Association of Realtors. Zahn holds an associate’s degree in general studies from Prairie State College, a bachelor’s degree in speech and theater from St. Joseph’s Calumet College, and a certificate from the non-profit management program at Duke University. He will represent Republicans and replace Michael Watza.
Zahn will serve a four-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2020. His appointment is subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
