Detroit, June 12, 2018 - The three Detroit casinos reported $124.6 million in aggregate revenue for May, a 3.9 percent increase from May 2017 results and a fractional 0.5 percent higher than April 2018 revenue. The casinos’ year-to-date aggregate revenue rose 1.2 percent compared with results for the first five months of last year.
Compared with May 2017 results, MGM led with $54.3 million in monthly aggregate revenue, a 7.6 percent increase. MotorCity revenue rose 2.2 percent to $41.5 million, and Greektown recorded a fractional 0.02 percent increase to $28.8 million.

The three Detroit casinos paid $10.1 million in gaming taxes during May compared with $9.7 million during May 2017.
During May, the three Detroit casinos reported submitting $14.8 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit.
