Detroit, Aug. 14, 2018 - The three Detroit casinos reported aggregate revenue of $119.3 million during July for a fractional 0.3 percent increase from July 2017 results. July revenues were a fractional 0.2 percent higher than June 2018 results. Through July, the three casinos recorded a 1.7 percent aggregate revenue increase compared with results for the first seven months of last year.
Two casinos posted higher monthly revenues than in July 2017. Greektown revenue at $27.8 million was 1.8 percent higher. MotorCity revenue rose a fractional 0.3 percent to $40.6 million. MGM reported $50.9 million in revenue for a fractional 0.5 percent decline from July 2017.

During July, the three Detroit casinos paid $9.7 million in gaming taxes to the state of Michigan compared with $9.6 million during the same month last year.
The three Detroit casinos reported submitting $14.2 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit during July.
