Detroit, May 21, 2019 - The three Detroit casinos reported aggregate revenue of $125.2 million in April for a fractional 0.8 percent increase over April 2018 results. Compared with record March 2019 results, April aggregate revenue fell 10.9 percent. Year-to-date aggregate revenue was 1.6 percent higher than in the first four months of 2018.
Both MGM and Greektown recorded monthly revenue increases in April compared with April 2018 results. At MGM, revenue rose 2.3 percent to $52.4 million. Greektown’s monthly revenue of $29.3 million was a fractional 0.4 percent increase. MotorCity reported $43.5 million in monthly revenue for a fractional 0.5 percent decrease compared with April 2018 results.

During April, the three Detroit casinos paid the State of Michigan $10.1 million in gaming taxes compared with $10 million during April 2018.
The three Detroit casinos reported submitting $14.9 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the City of Detroit during April.
