Nadine Kalasho Khalil

First Vice Chair

Nadine Yousif Kalasho is the President of CODE Legal Aid, She co-founded CODE in response to the influx of refugees coming from the Middle-East in 2014. Nadine is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School where she was Editor and Public Relations Director of the Journal of Law in Society, worked as student attorney for the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic and was an intern for the office of the General Counsel and Labor Relations Department for Detroit Public Schools. She received her B.A. in Political Science in 2012 from Wayne State University and most recently was named co-counsel to the federal case: Hamama v. Adducci, which halted the deportations of around 1400 Iraqi nationals.
