Angela Lugo-Thomas, Wayne County
Angela Lugo-Thomas, also known as Detroit Boricua, lives in Highland Park with her family. She is a manager at Keep Growing Detroit, the largest non-profit organization in Detroit dedicated to urban agriculture. Angela is the co-director of RicanStruction, a Puerto Rican bomba group, and president of La Casita Cimarrón y Yuketi de Detroit. Aside from her work with Keep Growing Detroit, Angela is an emerging real estate developer and writer, an advisory board member for Planet Detroit, and an appointee to the Belle Isle Park Advisory Committee. Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University.
