Raul Hernández-Guzmán is a passionate advocate for inclusive education, equitable employment opportunities, community building and social impact.

Raúl holds a professional Strategic Human Resources Leadership certificate from Cornell University, a Master of Management from Aquinas College, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and International Business from Grand Valley State University. Raúl has established a robust foundation for his professional journey, focusing on Global Talent Acquisition, Human Capital, Organizational Behavior and Culture.

Throughout his professional journey, Raúl has made a profound impact on the lives of students and professionals not only in West Michigan, but also across the United States and Latin America, in Mexico and Brazil. His diverse roles span across various organizations and sectors, including higher education, private corporate and public education. In the past, Raúl served as the Equity Director for the West Michigan Sustainable Business Forum and Service-Learning Group Leader in 2018, when he facilitated a transformative experience for medical and nursing students, offering assistance at a local maternity clinic and orphanage in Chimbote, Peru.

Originally from México, Raúl, a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, has wholeheartedly embraced West Michigan as his new home. Through his multifaceted pursuits and personal interests, Raúl consistently contributes to the vibrancy and inclusivity of the West Michigan community.
