Snehasis Ganguly (Bengali Indian American, Wayne County)

Armed with a Bachelor of Sc Tech and Master of Sc Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in NY, Snehasis boasts an impressive academic background. He has worked with esteemed organizations such as the Indian Space Research Organization and the National Aerospace Laboratory. His professional journey includes significant roles at Hawtal Whiting, Chrysler, and Ford, where he was leading in Tech Planning and Strategy. A Six Sigma Certified Black Belt, Snehasis combine technical prowess with strategic insight. Beyond his corporate role, he contributes as an adjunct faculty member at UD Mercy and Oakland University and volunteers as a judge for the Detroit Science Fair and Robo festival. Dedicated to community service, Snehasis is the current Secretary and has previously served as a planner and auditor for Swajan, a local non-profit in Michigan. Actively involved in political campaigns since 2012, he engages in voter registration, fundraising, door-to-door canvassing, and organizing phone banks and postcards. He also holds the position of Precinct Delegate in Canton, is a member of the Canton Democratic Club, and is a founding member of South Asians in Michigan Organizing for Serious Action (SAMOSA).
