Internet Crime Prevention and Enforcement

  • Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC): learn how to protect children from online predators.
  • Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry: the intent is to better assist the public in preventing and protecting against the commission of future criminal sexual acts by convicted sex offenders.
  • Michigan laws addressing internet crimes (MCL - Section 750.145c): This statute is part of the Michigan Penal Code and deals primarily with child sexually abusive activity and child sexually abusive material — i.e., visual or audio depictions of minors (under age 18) engaging in listed sexual acts, or materials that appear to do so.
