Update and community conversation on PFAS (Rockford)
This two-hour community forum brings residents, scientists, health experts, and local leaders together for a detailed update on PFAS contamination connected to the Wolverine sites.
The evening combines clear, accessible presentations with personal stories and open conversation. Attendees will learn about the latest science, ongoing cleanup efforts, health guidance, and opportunities for community involvement. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, and the program will begin at 6:30.
Presenters will include Karen Vorce (EGLE), Joost van 't Erve (MDHHS), Tobyn McNaughten (Wolverine CAG), and Richard Rediske (Wolverine CAG and Professor Emeritus at Grand Valley State University).
A MDHHS PFAS Information Table and a Public Health specialist will also be at the event.
