On September 24, 2019, MPART presented to the House Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Committee on PFAS testing in Michigan's public drinking water.
2019 Science Advisory Workgroup
On March 26, 2019, Governor Gretchen Whitmer directed the Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) to form a Science Advisory Workgroup to review both existing and proposed health-based drinking water standards from around the nation to inform the rulemaking process for appropriate Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCL) for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for Michigan by no later than July 1, 2019.

2018 US House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee hearing
On December 5, 2018, MPART presented to the House Natural Resources Committee on Michigan taking action on PFAS.
2018 Science Advisory Panel
The panel of nationally recognized experts on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) was created by the Governor and Legislature to provide the state with a better understanding of the available toxicological and environmental health science on PFAS and provide evidence-based recommendations that can guide Michigan’s ongoing response to this emerging class of contaminants.
A presentation on the report was given on December 18, 2018.
