The below holidays are observed by the State of Michigan:

  • New Year's Day, January 1.
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, third Monday in January.
  • President's Day, third Monday in February.
  • Memorial Day, last Monday in May.
  • Juneteenth, June 19.
  • Independence Day, July 4.
  • Labor Day, first Monday in September.
  • General Election Day, the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November in even-numbered years.
  • Veterans Day, November 11.
  • Thanksgiving Day and the day after, the fourth Thursday and Friday in November.
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, December 24 and 25.
  • New Year's Eve, December 31.
