Gov. Whitmer Reappoints Hillegonds to Regional Transit Authority Board of Directors
LANSING, Mich. – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer today reappointed Paul Hillegonds, of Plymouth, to the Regional Transit Authority Board of Directors.
Mr. Hillegonds is the chief executive officer of the Michigan Health Endowment Fund and currently serves as the chair of the Regional Transit Authority Board of Directors. Paul Hillegonds is reappointed for a term expiring March 31, 2022. He will also continue to serve as chair of the Authority. This reappointment is not subject to advice and consent of the Senate.
The Regional Transit Authority works to manage and secure transportation resources that significantly enhance mobility options, improve the quality of life for the residents, and increase economic viability for the Southeast Michigan region.
