WHEREAS, Prosthodontics is an essential field of dentistry that helps restore and enhance the oral health and function of millions of people worldwide; and,
WHEREAS, only 3% of dentists in the United States are Prosthodontists, indicating the specialized expertise and training required for this field; and,
WHEREAS, Prosthodontists provide critical services that improve the quality of life and self-esteem of patients, allowing them to eat, speak, and smile with confidence; and,
WHEREAS, Prosthodontists work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient; and,
WHEREAS, Prosthodontists continually advance the field of prosthodontics through ongoing education, research, and innovation, contributing to the development of new techniques, materials, and technologies that benefit patients; and,
WHEREAS, Prosthodontists demonstrate a commitment to excellence, professionalism, and ethical standards, providing safe, effective, and high-quality care to their patients;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gretchen Whitmer, governor of Michigan, do hereby proclaim April 23 – 29, 2023, as Prosthodontist Appreciation Week in Michigan.
