The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, to consider the possible commutation of sentence for William Smith, #187682. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Duane Waters Hospital, Jackson, Michigan.
William Smith is serving sentences for Bank Robbery and Armed Robbery. He was sentenced on April 2, 1987 and February 9, 1988 (2 counts) from Wayne County to 1 year, 6 months - 10 years, and 7 years, 6 months - 15 years (2 counts) for Bank Robbery. He was sentenced on September 2, 1999 from Wayne County to 9 - 18 years for the crime of Armed Robbery.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole Board.
