The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, to consider the possible parole of Donald R. Owens, #128627. It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the T-100 Training Center, G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, Michigan.
Donald Owens is serving a sentence for Armed Robbery and Felony Firearm. He was sentenced on October 1, 1981 from Saginaw County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234(6).
Under the Lifer Law, those serving life sentences for a crime committed prior to Oct. 1, 1992, other than first-degree murder or certain drug law cases, must serve ten calendar years before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
