The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 20, 2008, to consider the possible parole of Amos Ray, #147290. It will be at 11:00 a.m. at Duane Waters Hospital, Jackson, Michigan.
Amos Ray is serving a Life sentence for Murder 2nd Degree. He was sentenced on November 8, 1976 from Berrien County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
Under the Lifer Law, those serving life sentences for a crime committed prior to October 1, 1992, other than first-degree murder or certain drug law cases, must serve ten calendar years before the parole board can obtain jurisdiction.
