The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on September 16, 2008, to consider the possible commutation of sentence for Joe Powell, #231586. It will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the T-100 Training Center, G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, Jackson, Michigan.
Joe Powell is serving a 10y - 20y sentence for the crime of Possession of Cocaine 50-224 Grams. He was sentenced on June 7, 1993 from Oakland County.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole Board.
