The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 1, 2009 to consider the possible parole of Ross Hayes, #140420. It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Training Center, Richard Handlon Correctional Facility, Ionia, MI.
Ross Hayes is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Murder 2nd Degree. He was sentenced on January 30, 1975 from Kent County.
Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
The Michigan Department of Corrections harvested over 100,000 pounds of fresh food through various horticulture training programs and recreational gardens.
The Northern Region John Davids Recruit Academy Class graduation took place on Nov. 20 at Lake Superior State University and recognized 48 new officers. The class is the largest northern region academy to graduate since 2016. New officers will help to reduce vacancies at facilities across the Upper Peninsula.
