A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Ramiro Rodriguez, #143743

The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 to consider the possible parole of Ramiro Rodriguez, #143743.  It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility, Ionia, Michigan.

Ramiro Rodriguez is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Delivery/Manufacture of 650 Grams or More of Cocaine.  He was sentenced on March 4, 1993 from Eaton County.

Barbara Sampson, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

By Statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole and Commutation Board can obtain jurisdiction.
