A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Ricky Franklin, #247636

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, March 27, 2014 to consider the possible parole of Ricky Franklin, #247636. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.

Ricky Franklin is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Conspiracy to Deliver/Manufacture 650 Grams or More of Cocaine. He was sentenced on December 18, 1995 out of Oakland County.

Thomas R. Combs, Chairperson of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

By statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole Board can obtain jurisdiction.
