FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Michigan Parole Board to proceed with public hearing for Richard Wershe
Lansing, Mich. – During its executive session in Lansing today, a majority of the Michigan Parole Board voted to take interest with proceeding to a public hearing for Richard Wershe, #192034.
The exact date of the public hearing to consider the possible parole of the prisoner will be set next week, but it is expected the hearing will take place in early June.
The next step in the process is that on April 19, notices will be sent to the successor judge, prosecutor, Attorney General, and the prisoner indicating a public hearing is being scheduled.
The notice also informs the successor judge and prosecutor that they have 30 days to file comments and/or objections.
