The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 to consider the possible parole of Joe Roberson, #188849. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Michigan Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.
Joe Roberson is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Kidnapping. He was sentenced on June 22, 1987 out of Kalamazoo County.
Melissa K. Jennings and Jerome L. Warfield, Members of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
The Michigan Department of Corrections harvested over 100,000 pounds of fresh food through various horticulture training programs and recreational gardens.
The Northern Region John Davids Recruit Academy Class graduation took place on Nov. 20 at Lake Superior State University and recognized 48 new officers. The class is the largest northern region academy to graduate since 2016. New officers will help to reduce vacancies at facilities across the Upper Peninsula.
