A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Martese Wideman, #231709

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 7, 2017 to consider the possible parole of Martese Wideman, #231709.  It will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Handlon Michigan Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.

Martese Wideman is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Conspiracy to Deliver/Manufacture 650 Grams or More of Cocaine. He was sentenced on June 9, 1993 out of Oakland County.

Sonia A. Warchock and Jerome L. Warfield, Members of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

By statute, prisoners serving a Life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole Board can obtain jurisdiction.
