A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Thomas VanPelt

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Thomas VanPelt. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Grandview Plaza Building, Lansing, Michigan.
Thomas VanPelt was sentenced to a term of 2 Years Probation, 7 Days Jail and $1,460.55 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) (two counts) for the crime of Malicious Destruction of Building Over $100 (two counts), and to a term of 2 Years Probation, 7 Days Jail and $1,460.55 F/C/R (Fines/Costs/Restitution) for the crime of Conspiracy - Malicious Destruction of Building Over $100. He was sentenced on May 22, 1998 from Midland County.
Barbara S. Sampson, Member of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
