A public hearing to consider the possible parole of Claude Mayhand, #173273

The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 29, 2018 to consider the possible parole of Claude Mayhand, #173273. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Michigan Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.
Claude Mayhand is serving two Life sentences for the crime of Controlled Substance-Deliver/Manufacture - Narcotics/Cocaine 650 Grams or More (two counts). He was sentenced on March 27, 1989 out of Wayne County.
Barbara S. Sampson, Member of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By statute, prisoners serving a Life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole Board can obtain jurisdiction.
Capacity at the public hearing venue is limited; admittance will be on a first come, first serve basis.
