The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. to consider the possible parole of Ernest Hitt, #146796. The hearing will be conducted via video through Microsoft Teams and can be accessed by clicking HERE.
Those planning to access the hearing must call 517-335-1736 no later than August 7, 2020 to confirm attendance.
Ernest Hitt is serving two Life sentences for the crimes of Criminal Sexual Conduct, 1st Degree and Kidnapping. He was sentenced on March 7, 1977 out of Wayne County.
Sandra Wilson, Member of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.

The Michigan Department of Corrections harvested over 100,000 pounds of fresh food through various horticulture training programs and recreational gardens.
The Northern Region John Davids Recruit Academy Class graduation took place on Nov. 20 at Lake Superior State University and recognized 48 new officers. The class is the largest northern region academy to graduate since 2016. New officers will help to reduce vacancies at facilities across the Upper Peninsula.
