About The Summit  

The Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR) is hosting a free, virtual summit, Civil Rights in the Age of Algorithms, focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, civil rights, and public policy.  Artificial intelligence is already shaping decisions that impact people’s daily lives, from employment to housing to access to services. This is why it is critical that organizations and individuals, particularly those involved in protecting the rights of Michigan residents, engage in discussions about how AI systems are designed and governed.
