Michigan Department of Civil Rights to Celebrate 50th Anniversary with Event in Bay City

Bay City, MI - The Michigan Civil Rights Commission (MCRC) and the Department of Civil Rights (MDCR) will host a reception and panel discussion to explore civil rights issues in the region on Monday, June 3, at the Delta College Planetarium, 100 Center Ave., Bay City.
The event begins with a reception from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. From 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, a panel of area leaders will kick off a community dialogue exploring the civil rights issues MDCR should prioritize over the next ten years.

The event is free and open to the public. The meeting site is accessible and ample parking is available.
This visit to Bay City is an early stop on MDCR's year-long tour of 50 Michigan cities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the department's creation. MDCR 50th anniversary events showcase MDCR services and provide an opportunity for department staff to meet with community leaders and citizens on a variety of topics. The event is co-sponsored by Delta College.
