Detroit, February 14, 2017 - The three Detroit casinos’ aggregate revenue of $112 million during January was 2.7 percent higher than January 2016 revenue and 4.2 percent lower than December 2016 results of $116.9 million.
When compared with January 2016 results, Greektown revenue increased 4.9 percent to $26.4 million during January. MotorCity’s monthly revenue rose 3.5 percent to $38.4 million compared with the same month last year. MGM’s monthly revenue was up a fractional 0.9 percent from January 2016 to $47.1 million.

The state of Michigan received $9.1 million in gaming taxes from the three Detroit casinos during January compared with $8.8 million for the same month last year.
The three Detroit casinos reported submitting $13.3 million in wagering taxes and development agreement payments to the city of Detroit during January.
"The Michigan Gaming Control Board shall ensure the conduct of fair and honest gaming to protect the interests of the citizens of the State of Michigan."
