The “Building Capacity for Funding Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts” 4-part workshop series consists of the following:

  • Part One, “Is My Organization Ready to Apply for Grant Funding?” which is for start-up and newly formed organizationsI and explores key components to building a healthy and sustainable organization.
  • Part Two, “Fund Development Overview,” explores a variety of funding streams, what funders are looking for, and how to make your case for support effectively.
  • Part Three, “Federal Grants - Process & Developing Your Resources,”  for nonprofit organizations that have attended Parts One and Two or are established and feel ready to apply for more elaborate grants.
  • Part Four, “Seeking State Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Grants,” reviews major (and complex) funding resources at the state level, explains how to receive notification about grant opportunities, how to register and use the required EGrAMS system including notifications of upcoming RFPs, how to prepare for the pre-application phase, and many other aspects of the grant process and requirements.
