Thank you for your interest in the Michigan Human Trafficking Commission (MHTC). The Commission is comprised of 14 members; 5 of which are un-termed agency designees (Governor, Attorney General, Michigan State Police, Department of Health and Human Services, and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs) and the remaining 9 are 2-year term appointments.
Human trafficking is a rising crisis. We are committed to keeping the public informed and educated. We also want to highlight important agencies and nonprofits. These organizations assist and support survivors. They also help prosecute traffickers.

On August 3rd, Heather McGannon shared the final report of Phase One of the Human Trafficking Education in Schools Task Force. This task force was created to protect children and prepare students and school personnel to respond to and prevent human trafficking.
