Cadillac Man Arrested for Aggravated Distribution of Child Sexually Abusive Material

CADILLAC, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Ryan Lee Cornell, 28 of Cadillac, for aggravated distribution and aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Cornell was arrested following an investigation which began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Cornell’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.

Cornell was charged with one count of aggravated distribution/promotion of child sexually abusive material, three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, two counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Cornell was arraigned in the 84th Judicial District Court on Wednesday, April 23.

The ICAC Task Force was assisted by the MSP Cadillac Post.
