Flushing Resident Arrested for Possession and Distribution of Child Sexually Abusive Material

FLUSHING, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Jimmy Darrell Wells, 66 of Flushing, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, child sexually abusive activity – distributing or promoting and using a computer to commit a crime.
Wells turned himself into the court following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Wells was sharing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.
Wells was charged with three counts child sexually abusive material – aggravated possession, one count child sexually abusive activity – distributing or promoting, and four counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Wells was arraigned in the 67th District Court on Friday, May 29.
