Scholarships

The following list provides information on various scholarships across Michigan and the U.S. that may be relevant to Hispanic/Latino students of all ages and educational levels. Please note that the provided basic requirements are there to help with sorting through scholarships, and further requirements may be present. 10,000 Degrees Undergraduate Scholarships 500 to 5,000 Criteria will vary. Once you fill out the general undergraduate scholarship application, you will be able to provide supplemental information indicating what specific scholarships you want to apply for.
Abbott & Fenner Annual Scholarship Awards 1,000 Available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.
Abbott & Fenner Scholarship 1,000 Essay required to apply for scholarship. Details provided in scholarship's website.
ABC Summer of Creativity for Youth Grant applicants must be between the ages of 5 and 18, and live in the United States.
All applicants are required to have a sponsoring organization or school. YSA cannot send grant funds to an individual.
Applicants must have already implemented a service project in their community.
The Summer of Creativity Grants recognize youth that have already served their community.
Abe Schechter Graduate Scholarship 2,000 Must be officially enrolled in a graduate program. Must apply for only one scholarship.
May be enrolled in any major so long as your intent is a career in electronic journalism.
Accountemps Student Scholarship 10,000 Planning to pursue the CPA licensure but not presently be a CPA.
Accounting Student Scholarship Program 2,500 You must be an actively enrolled full or part-time college student taking at least one accounting course.
ACS- Hach Land Grant Undergraduate Scholarship 6,000 Be enrolled as a full-time student at one of our partner institutions. Major in chemistry and complete educational program.
Express the intention to teach high school chemistry after graduation.
ACS Scholars Program 2,500-5,000 High school seniors entering college and planning to pursue full-time study in a chemically- related field.
College freshmen, sophomores or juniors currently pursuing or planning to pursue full-time study in a chemically related field community college.
Students majoring in a two-year chemical technology program or planning to transfer to a four- year school
ACS-Hach Second Career Teacher Scholarship 3,000-6,000 Have a Bachelors degree or higher in chemistry or chemistry-related discipline
Have at least one year work experience in a chemistry-related profession
Acturial Diversity Scholarship 1,000-4,000 Intent on pursuing a career in the actuarial profession.
Will be a full-time undergraduate student at a U.S. accredited educational institution.
ADEA/ Crest Oral-B Laboratories Scholarship 2,000 Have graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program with an associates degree or certificate to practice dental hygiene.
Be enrolled in a baccalaureate degree completion program or graduate degree program at an ADEA Member Institution.
Both part-time and full-time students are eligible. Priority will be given to qualified candidates enrolled in baccalaureate degree completion programs.
ADHA Institute Scholarship Program 1,000-2,000 Must be enrolled in an accredited dental hygiene program in the United States.
Completed a minimum of one year in a dental hygiene curriculum. Students entering their first year of dental hygiene school are not eligible; students may be in the process of completing their first year when application is submitted.
A full-time student during the academic year for which you are applying (Fall 2016 – Spring 2017).
Must be a professional member or student member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA).
Advancing Women in Transportation Scholarship Varies The WTS Foundation awards scholarships to women who are pursuing careers in transportation through undergraduate and graduate programs.
Advice to your High School Self Scholarship 2,500 Students will complete a survey about their college campus. Limit one survey per person.
The online form includes a place for applicants to submit a short written response to the scholarship topic.
AHLEF Graduate Scholarship 5,000 If your graduate degree is in anything other than a hospitality-related program, you must have either:
An undergraduate degree in hospitality.
Four years’ employment in the lodging industry after graduation.
OR if you do not have either of the above, then you must be enrolled in a hospitality-related graduate degree.
Architect Foundation Diversity Advancement Scholarship 3,000-4,000 High school seniors entering a NAAB accredited professional program in architecture.
Undergraduate college freshmen attending a NAAB accredited professional program in architecture.
Technical school or community college students that have completed high school or its equivalent and intend to transfer to a NAAB accredited professional program.
AICPA Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students 2,5000-5,000 Planning to pursue the CPA licensure but not presently be a CPA An AICPA student affiliate member (or have submitted a new member application).
Airport Minority Advisory Council
Educational and Scholarship Program
2,000 each semester The applicant must demonstrate interest and desire to pursue a career in the aviation/airport industry and seeking a B.S. or B.A. in Aviation, Business Administration, Accounting, Architecture, Engineering or Finance.
Must be a high school student accepted or an undergraduate student enrolled at an approved accredited college or university.
All About Education Scholarship 3,000 Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2022) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education
Allied Dental Student Scholarship Program 1,000 U.S. citizen (permanent resident status does not qualify)
currently attending or enrolled in a dental hygiene, dental assisting, or dental laboratory program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association.
Have completed at least one semester in the aforementioned program.
Have at least one full semester remaining in the program as of the date of the award announcement.
American Express Scholarship 500-2,000 Enrolled full- or part-time in an undergraduate hospitality management program at a U.S. college or university.
American Academy of Underwater Students
Student Scholarship
varies Be a current member of AAUS (student or full member).
Be enrolled in or formally accepted into a master or doctoral program.
Present the results of their research at an AAUS symposium or other scientific meeting within one year of the project’s completion.
American Chemical Society Scholars Program 5,000 Be a full-time student at a high school or accredited college, university, or community college.
American Culinary Federation Scholarships varies Varying scholarships and grants according to academic level. Please check website for further details.
AMS Named Scholarship varies Applicants must be entering their final year of undergraduate study and provide evidence of acceptance as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. institution at the time of the award.
Applicants must be pursuing a degree in the atmospheric or related sciences.
Annual Senior Care Scholarship 1,000 The annual scholarship award is for (5) students enrolled in an associate's degree, bachelor's degree or graduate level program in a medical, nursing or social sciences related major. The student must be planning on pursuing a career that involves working with senior citizens.
Arthur J. Packard Memorial Scholarship 5,000 This is a school nominated scholarship and the applicant must be enrolled in one of the 76 participating schools.
Enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for upcoming fall and spring semester, or just the fall semester if graduating this December.
An undergraduate hospitality management major at a U.S. college or university.
Astronaut Scholarship Foundation Scholarship 10,000 Scholarship nominees must be engineering or natural or applied science (e.g. astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, computer science) or mathematics students with intentions to pursue research or advance their field upon completion of their final degrees.
At the time of nomination, scholarship candidates must be at least second year (sophomore) college students, have excellent grades, and have conducted a considerable amount of lab and research work in their field.
Automotive Hall of Fame Scholarship varies Submit a completed application form indicating a sincere interest in an automotive career.
Be accepted at an accredited college, university or trade school within the United States at the time of application. Students attending a technical training school may also apply (trade school should equal a two-year associate program).
Must be enrolled full-time.
BEA National Scholarships in Broadcasting & Electronic Media 1,250-5,000 Students enrolled in a BEA 2-Year/Small College member institution or graduates of these programs now enrolled in a BEA 4-Year Institution.
All other scholarships are awarded to juniors, seniors and graduate students at BEA Member institutions.
Becas Univision Scholarship Program 5,000 Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students, community college transfers and current college students.
Be of Hispanic heritage.
Must be 1st Generation to attend college (neither your mother nor your father has attended college.)
Certified Nursing Assistant training program 500 Applicants must be accepted into a state-approved Nurse Aide, CNA, or LNA certification program by October 1st. Entries must be received by September 21st and a winner will be contacted by October 1st. Applicants must be a United States resident and at least 18 years old.
CNA Free Training Resources scholarship 500 To be eligible for the scholarship you will need to fill out all of the fields in our submission form (see below). The winner will be based on our staff's determination of the candidate with the most compelling story on why they would like to become a CNA and why they feel they deserve the award. Entries must be received by April 2, 2023 and the winner will be notified by April 16, 2023.
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program Up to 25,000 Be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate students.
Plan to major in a specified course of study that focuses on Engineering, Technology, or select Design and Business related programs of study.
Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industries using these areas of study.
Fred & Lena Meijers Scholarship 2,500 or 10,000 (2) Current Meijer team member who has been employed full-time or part-time by Meijer, with at least one year of continuous service on the application deadline date (April 1), and will be attending college/university or technical school either part-or full time or,
A dependent child (natural, legally adopted, or step-child) of a current Meijer Team Member who has been employed full-time or part-time by Meijer, with at least one year of continuous service on the application deadline date (April 1), who will be attending college/university or technical school full time or,
A dependent child of a former Meijer team member who worked full-time or part-time for Meijer for at least one year, but whose employment was terminated due to death, retirement, or total and permanent disability, who will be attending college/university or technical school full time.
*The scholarship cannot be used to complete a graduate level program. Children of Meijer company officers, board of directors, or shareholders are not eligible for a scholarship.*
Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Up to 24,000 Be a graduating high school senior.
NSHSS Foundation Scholarship Must be in one of the STEM fields outlined in the scholarship website.
Women's Independence Scholarship Program Survived intimate partner abuse & has been separated from their abuser a minimum of one year, but not more than seven;
Has applied to or is officially accepted into an accredited course of study at a United States institution;
Has sought services from a non-profit, domestic violence agency for a minimum of 6 consecutive months, and this agency is willing act as sponsor by mentoring and providing support to the student throughout her educational experience.
Elevate Mental Health Awareness Scholarship $500 Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the requirements listed. Please read the requirements carefully to ensure you meet eligibility before applying: Must be a current high school, undergraduate, or graduate school student. Must have personally experienced challenges with mental health or have had people close to them who have experienced mental health challenges. Must be attending school in the United States. All GPAs will be considered. All majors are encouraged to apply.
Equal Opportunity Scholarship $500 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the requirements listed. Please read the requirements carefully to ensure you meet eligibility before applying. Current high school, undergraduate, or graduate school student. 14+ years of age and attending school in the United States. 2.0 GPA or higher. All majors are encouraged to apply.
A Daring Path Scholarship $1,000 To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the requirements listed. Please read the requirements carefully to ensure you meet eligibility before applying. All students and non-students from any field of study. Ages 14+ and attending school in the US. All GPAs will be considered. All majors are encouraged to apply.
Sleep Family Scholarship $1,500 Candidates must have a medically recognized physical or mental disability and a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Pharmica International Scholarship Program $1000 At least 18 years old, or be able to provide written permission from a parent or guardian if you are under 18. In good academic standing with your current educational institution, with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher. Currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate program starting or continuing in the 2023-2024 academic year, at an accredited North American college or university.
