The Michigan Immigrant and Refugee Council passionately embraces diversity, recognizing and celebrating the profound strength immigrants and refugees bring to the vibrant tapestry of Michigan. The Michigan LGBTQ+ Commission, stands as a beacon of advocacy, inclusion and celebration for Michigan's diverse LGBTQ+ community. The commission's charge is to ensure equal representation, amplify voices and foster a state where everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, feels affirmed and valued.
The 15-member council will advise the department on issues relating to the Arab and Chaldean communities in Michigan and promote awareness of their culture and history

As the founder of MintDfuel, a Product Management Consulting firm based in Plymouth, Michigan, Anu showcases her entrepreneurial spirit and expertise. She also dedicates her time to serving on the board of Mai Family Services, demonstrating her commitment to social advocacy.
Anu's influence extends to the creative realm as an executive producer and Tech Labs Curator for TEDx Detroit. Additionally, she hosts the radio show Rockin' Raaga on WNZK 690/680AM, where she celebrates South Asian music and stories, giving a voice to the Asian Pacific diaspora.
Through her appointment to the MAPAAC commission, Anu continues her decades-long grassroots work in Michigan, engaging with communities, learning, and driving inclusive change that benefits the people of the state. With her diverse skills, passion, and dedication, Anu Gopalakrishnan is a true leader and changemaker in her field.
