Michigan PFAS Action Response Team to update Oscoda residents on PFAS investigation

The Michigan PFAS Action Response Team (MPART) will provide an update on its continuing investigation of PFAS contamination near the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base and Oscoda area sites on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
MPART representatives from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) will host the virtual community meeting on July 20, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Topics include brief updates on the status of the Remedial Investigation and two Interim Remedial Actions at the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base, updates on quarterly sampling at the Oscoda area sites, and the recent Clark's Marsh deer study.
The July 20 meeting is planned as an online event, rather than an in-person meeting. Interested parties can register for and participate in the 6:00 - 8:00 pm online meeting. Pre-registration and providing a name is not required to attend the meeting.

After the presentations, there will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
The meeting will be recorded and posted within a few days after the meeting along with materials. The meeting can be viewed on the website Michigan.gov/Wurtsmith.
