If you are a member of the military, National Guard, or Reserves you may have special reporting options and helping services available to you. If you are transitioning out of the military or are a veteran, special reporting and helping service options may also be available to you.
The Department of Defense (DoD) has adopted a Sexual Assault Prevention Response (SAPR) Policy. This policy provides reporting options for service members and their adult military dependents. The policy also outlines options such as medical treatment, counseling and transfer that are available to victims.
The DoD has launched a Safe Helpline and website that includes information on the following:
- Reporting Options for National Guard and Reserve members
- Reporting Options for Non-Service Members
- Unrestricted Reporting
- Restricted Reporting
