The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, to consider the possible commutation of sentence of Sylvester Gavin, #091669. It will be at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon, Richard A. Correctional Facility, Ionia, MI.
Sylvester Gavin is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Murder 1st Degree. He was sentenced on April 8, 1970 from Wayne County.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board.
