The Michigan Parole and Commutation Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, to consider the possible commutation of sentence for Arthur Evanda Penn, #135220. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Duane Waters Health Center, Jackson, Michigan.
Arthur Evanda Penn was sentenced to a term of 13y-40y for the crime of Possession With Intent to Deliver 50-224 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on May 8, 1997 from Muskegon County. Arthur Evanda Penn was also sentenced to a term of 3y-20y fro the crime of Possession With Intent to Deliver Under 50 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on October 30, 2008 from Wayne County.
The hearing is required under MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Michigan Parole and Commutation Board.

The Northern Region John Davids Recruit Academy Class graduation took place on Nov. 20 at Lake Superior State University and recognized 48 new officers. The class is the largest northern region academy to graduate since 2016. New officers will help to reduce vacancies at facilities across the Upper Peninsula.
