The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 to consider the possible parole of Carmen Gomez, #177226. It will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Handlon Michigan Training Center; Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan.
Carmen Gomez is serving a Life sentence for the crime of Conspiracy to Deliver or Possess with Intent to Deliver less than 650 Grams of Cocaine. He was sentenced on December 17,1997 out of Ingham County.
Anthony E. O. King and Jerome L. Warfield, Members of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of the Lifer Law, MCLA 791.234.
By statute, prisoners serving a life sentence under MCL 333.74012A1, must serve 15, 17 1/2 or 20 calendar years, based on predetermined factors, before the Parole Board can obtain jurisdiction.
