Ceremony will highlight project to modernize facility for women service members
LANSING, Mich. — Michigan National Guard (MING) officials along with state elected leadership will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Michigan Army National Guard (MIARNG) Ishpeming Armory at 900 Palms Ave., Ishpeming, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.

The Ishpeming Armory is one of 33 facilities across Michigan that is targeted for modernization. The total investment for this project is $6.28 million ($3.75 million federal/$2.53 million state).
Media are invited to attend the Wednesday morning ceremony for a brief tour, remarks by MING officials and a groundbreaking photo opportunity and should plan to be in place no later than 10:15 a.m. To RSVP, please contact Michael Kroll at 517-285-9734 or email@example.com.
