The Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (Commission) establishes and enforces standards for the recruitment, training, licensing, and continued education of Michigan law enforcement officers. Since 1965, the Commission’s mission promotes public safety and partnership. Through continuous collaboration with law enforcement agencies and basic training academies, the Commission supports and strengthens Michigan communities by learning resources, training and law enforcement standards.
