Volunteer

The Michigan History Center offers volunteer opportunities in key roles such as tour guides, program presenters, gallery assistants, greeters and other services that support the center's mission. MHC volunteers are eligible for a variety of discounts and continuing education as thanks for supporting one of the state's leading history institutions.

Internships

We offer internships in a wide variety of archival and museum-related areas. These internships offer practical experience to complement academic studies. All interns have the opportunity to learn about many facets of public history from staff members in varied specializations and with a wide range of experiences and perspectives.
