LANSING – Yesterday, Jingyu Jin, a 46-year-old Chinese national, was sentenced by Judge Jennifer Faunce in the 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County to 40 months to 20 years’ incarceration for operating an international human trafficking ring involving commercial sex at illicit massage parlors, announced Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. Jin pled no contest to one count of Conducting a Criminal Enterprise in June.
Jin was the owner and operator of two illicit massage parlors: 111 Healing Studio in St. Clair Shores and AM Healing Studio in Sterling Heights. She was charged in December of 2024 following an investigation into an international human trafficking ring involving multiple local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, the Michigan State Police, and the St. Clair Shores Police Department.
“This illicit operation was one of the largest forced commercial sex enterprises ever uncovered in our state, trapping numerous victims who were trafficked across an ocean directly into our communities,” said Attorney General Nessel at the time the defendant pled. “This conviction makes clear that Michigan will be no harbor for the heinous trafficking trade, and my office remains committed to working with state, local, and federal law enforcement to dismantle these networks, protect survivors, and hold traffickers accountable.”
Jin’s co-defendant Huazi Piao was sentenced last year after pleading guilty to a similar charge connected to separate illicit massage parlors in Wayne County. Jon Villasurda, Sr. also pled guilty to one count of Transporting a Person for Prostitution in connection to the ring. He will be sentenced before Judge Jennifer Faunce in the 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County on September 10.
