Regional Partner Resources

TAMC works with Regional Partners at Regional Planning Agencies (RPA) and Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) throughout the state to support the collection of transportation asset data and asset management efforts.  The TAMC regional partners play a critical role as intermediaries between the state and local communities and Act51 road agencies.

Bridge Training and Resources

Maintaining bridges in good condition has proven to extend service life and to be more cost effective than allowing deterioration to progress, resulting in the need for more extensive and costly rehabilitation or replacement projects.

Culvert Training and Resources

The collection of culvert inventory and condition data provides a foundation and critical information for successful asset management planning and practice. Having knowledge of location and condition of culverts is critical to prevent failure and avoid injure or loss of life for travelers. Culvert asset management is the cross section of ensuring rivers, streams and drains remain free flowing to protect ecosystem health and making smart investments in transportation infrastructure.

Investment Reporting Tool

The Investment Reporting Tool (IRT) is the procedure developed by the TAMC to allow public road agencies to comply with two of the reporting requirements of Act 499 of 2002 and subsequent amendments.

Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating, and Inventory Based Rating (IBR)

Road agencies are required to collect and submit roadway condition information based on Pavement Surface Evaluation and Ratings (PASER) on paved roads and Inventory Based Ratings (IBR) on unpaved roads. That information is used to generate annual reports, populated interactive maps and generate a wide range of performance measures presented in dashboards.

Asset Management and Public Act 325

Asset management helps officials to make more educated and beneficial decisions. The 2018 changes in Public Act 325 make this an even greater role and collaborative effort with additional infrastructure areas.
