Public Alerting Work Group (WG)
The Public Alerting Work Group (WG) is a designated group of emergency management, public safety, and related personnel with extensive experience in public safety communications. The group serves as subject-matter experts to the Michigan Public Safety Communications Interoperability Board (MPSCIB) regarding matters of alerting the public during emergencies and disasters.
Vision Statement
To ensure Michigan emergency management programs and broadcast partners are prepared to alert the public effectively and efficiently during crisis situations.
Mission Statement
To provide, promote, and coordinate public alerting awareness and education in support of local and state government agencies in conjunction with broadcast partners.
