Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs statement on recent Wall Street Journal opinion piece
February 07, 2024
The Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs (CMEAA) calls upon the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) to retract the op-ed article, “Welcome to Dearborn, America’s Jihad Capital,” which was published in the WSJ on February 2, 2024. This type of anti-Arab and Islamophobic rhetoric is dangerous and irresponsible. CMEAA supports and joins our community partner ACCESS in their public statement and encourages the signing of the petition demanding a retraction of the op-ed and release of a formal apology.
Please review and share CMEAA’s new webpage explaining hate/bias incidents versus civil rights violations.
